Shounen mangas about cooking with a similar main character. They have a battle manga feeling in them despise not having fights but cooking battles.

Well, they're both about hardworking, genius cooks (one of bread, one of curry). Addicted to Curry has a little more mature attitude and theme (and is a little bit more ecchi); Yakitate!! is a little bit more shonen styled. Both are very enjoyable and have about the same amount of humor and personality to them, though Addicted to Curry has a little more about individual character backgrounds and stories. Both will make you very hungry.

Story about pastry chefs who have special abilities such as absolute taste and warm hands. Has similar story of finding one's success in pastry cooking. Also has great tips on cooking etc... Kitchen Princess has romance whereas Yakitate!!Japan is more about cooking.

Both are mainly based on (ntentional) bad puns that get lost in the translation.

Both are hilarious titles that have misleading characters.

Space Chef Caisar is like Yakitate!! Japan, just with monsters and ecchi content. Ridiculous food battles and weird reactions to the food as well as a weird, but good humor, that's what both manga contain.

They have a very "particular" sense of humor, using stupid jokes, tsukkomis, dirty jokes and a lot of references and parodies of famous people, Japanese and non-Japanese.

Both are good examples about how every theme could be turned into an successful and award-winning shounen. Yakitate!! Japan and Great Teacher Onizuka both feature an amazing and likeable main character as well as good and well-written side characters and a hilarious plot - in a good way, of course ;).

Both involve rather unconventional subjects for a manga, but work oh-so-well. They involve a brash young kid with insurmountable determination and a certain edge or another that catches the eyes of many others in his destined field. Both are fairly sizable stories, great art, and will make you check out something you never thought you'd get into... They basically have alot of parallels as far as story and character elements go, and I can pretty much assure a fan of either series will find it easy to get into the other.

Just replace everything in Yakitate Japan with doctors. The main character is a genius kid who makes it to the big leagues in the world of medicine (kind of an idiot when it comes to common sense like Azuma). Also the artists are the same for both series'.

Both manga's are really educational, and revolve around a professional trying to accel in their fields. And the main character from Wild Life is actually parodied in Yakitate!! Japan. The latter of which has been known to embezzle facts though

Both series talk about the inner workings of a mundane subject. Baths for TR and bread for YJ. Add a dash of surreal comedy and you have charming series that not only make you laugh but genuinely teach you something new.
