Similar situation of ordering the girl around and saying he owns her. Theres a lot of twists in the plot which are way better than how Hot Gimmick was. The girl is poor and the guy is the "Prince" of a rich family who are also landlords, lol.

Although the two mangas have somewhat different plots, they both have the same vibe. Both female characters are weak and are pretty much harassed by guys around them. Both female main characters end up having a relationship with a popular male. R17 and LM have random sex scenes which don't exactly fit in with the story and just seem to be there for the sake of it.

There are various aspects of Hot Gimmick that is similar to Hana Yori Dango. First, you have a reverse harem situation, where the plot is based upon a female character & a harem of male characters. Next, the main male characters of both mangas share similar characteristics. Last, the development of the relationship between the two main characters. The female characters both have a 'Do I? Dont I?' attitude towards the male & the obstacles in the relationship are also similar. ^.^

Even though the plots are different, when I was reading this manga I immediately remembered Gentlemen's Alliance Cross. I love both and if you liked one you should like the other.

Both manga series involves a main female protagonist who gets blackmailed by the main male protagonist. However, as time goes on, both character grows closer and develops a relationship. Both series' main female protagonists has similar personalities and deals with many obstacles in their daily lives. Both series has a lighthearted mood although there is some emotions in various chapters. Both series has genres of comedy, drama, and romance.

Both have a rich guy who throws the heroines life into chaos and seems pushy but is actually a good guy despite first impressions.

Both manga are about childhood friends, who haven't talked to each other for a long time due to certain reasons, that form a master-slave relationship the next time they meet. Eventually, the relationship develops into a real one, but there are still people who are against their relationship or out for revenge.

Both protagonists are very naive when it comes to love and such but Hot Gimmick is alot more hands on mature. Both get stuck up in love, whether it be triangles or just couples. As of....IT'D SUCK TO BE HER! Both girls followed around by good looking boys, both manga induce a sense of humour and are gret reads.

Both Master and "slave" shoujo mangas.

Has the love triangle thing and the drama-filled pasts. Much better written (so far -- it's not complete yet), characters developed better and are more likable, much better illustrated. Read this instead.

Both series have kind of 'harlequin romance' approaches to love stories, with lots of drama and backstabbing. The stories are pretty different, but if you're interested in an unusually high drama quotient, both series have you covered.

In both the main character(Hatsumi Narita/Mimori Kosaka) are easygoing and are good at making friends. Neither of them go looking for a relationship but both stories have love triangles. In Hot Gimmick there is Hatsumi Narita and her childhood bully and protector(along with maybe others..). and in Tokyo Boys & Girls there is Mimori Kosaka an old classmate(friend...or not??) and a popular playboy. Both stories also have extra drama involving parents to keep the stories lines a little more interesting..over all I would say both are really good
