Japan has had quite a fascination with Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland novels, such that allusions to the work, its characters and plot, appear in various anime & manga series time and again. This stack collects series that are quite overtly based on the work. Quite a few are based on Quinrose's Alice-inspired visual novels.

Quinrose series cut due to space:
Heart no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World & Wonderful Twin World series,
Diamond no Kuni no Alice: Black or Sweets,
Joker no Kuni no Alice: Mayonaka ni Ochiru Yume,

This list includes everything from mushy cutesy to ‘oh god I'm on a watchlist now’ so scroll with precaution.

There are two requirements for this list:
-The yandere needs to take up ATLEAST 1/5 screentime (if they don't take up half then ill put this note: yandere is a side character)
-no porn unless its gore or psychological horror

I've checked everything so even if the yandereness doesn't show at first trust that it's coming.

All manga that fit the "Death Game" criteria. You can also look for the anime version.

These series take inspiration from &/or are based on different folktales, folklore, &/or fairytales from all around the world.

Series that have gothic and/or vicrotian or edwardian feel/setting/aesthetic. Periods like 19-century Europe and French Revolution are included!
Some are well-known, some are not so much :3
I love this If I find something new and fresh, I add it!

Most of these are gonna be Alice-inspired because that's what I tend to like... and some of them are more folktales than fairytales... but like, same difference.
