Ok, for the faint of heart, don't read it. Then again. I think It may have been just me who found this so darn disturbing!!!

For me one of the worst things to ever happen to a human is to lose the ability to think and speak freely. To become an animal with nothing. I dunno why. It makes me uncomfortable. This is a shocking anime that is sure to make a good hit at the slumber party.

That is the horror meter on it, Slumber party scary. A good ghost story. No more no less.

No reviews in here so I'll puke one up to try and help out potential readers.

Story: 7

The story wasn't all that creative and it was very short although i did enjoy it. Mermaids appear at night and you have to eat their flesh to meet your true love. :P The ending was great...

Art: 8

I thought the art was very good, everything was clear and the characters were good looking and realistic enough. The backgrounds were good also. All around good art which is to be expected of such a short story.

Obviously this is a 1 volume 3 chapter manga so there isn't much for character development until the end. But For such a short story character development isn't very important anyhow...

Enjoyment: 7

Honestly I found this to be an overall enjoyable story and the ending gave me a little giggle. There is no reason not to check out such a short story with a humorous and Ironic ending. I would recommend this to anyone.

School ningyo is a really great body horror manga , It ' s a good read and something you can read to fill up your list. It ' s short despite it ' s 5 volumes , And here ' s why .

ʚ overall : 8/10 ɞ
This manga has earned such a high rating because of it ' s interesting twist on mermaids . This manga had me wanting more every twist ... and new lore drop of the mermaids , it was seriously awesome , I had medium expectations for this considering I thought it would be vastly different from what I got but i ' m happy with the outcome , it does lack re-readability but it ' s okay , just a short read that I finished in around a day ! . .


ʚ Characters 7/10 ɞ
This section has a more average rating because a lot of the characters are just filler characters , this is to be expected with mangas that take a route of small stories stitched together , but I enjoyed how some of the characters that you thought weren ' t going to be important actually were and tied heavily into the story . I also enjoyed the fact that there ' s some LGBTQ+ reputation in here with WLW and transfeminity , that also made it quite interesting and unexpected . The random twists and how love can corrupt someone just as it did with who started the legend is really present and I love that .

This section also has an average rating because it ' s an average style , even mentioned by the artist to this , but I think it does it well , I couldn ' t imagine this story with any other style and I believe it does it justice . The setting is going to be boring but it ' s overshadowed by the interesting concept it has to it .

As stated , I loved the story and concept for this manga . It was super interesting to see so many characters and what their reactions were to the bizarre situation they were put in . I love when stories make everything tie together , it ' s my favorite thing ever to read . I ' m actually glad it was one of those mangas that make many stories and put them together , this made it much easier to digest the lore in a fun way that made you wanting more .

ʚ Enjoyment 9/10 ɞ
I really enjoyed this manga , it was nice to read and a good read to amp up my manga list . The art was enjoyable , the story was good , and it reminded me heavily of another series I love . It really brings my favorite genres together and didn ' t disappoint me at all .

Do I recommend this ? Yes . It ' s a quick easy read and you can finish it easily within a few hours , It ' s short and really interesting .

Story - I've never seen a take like this on mermaids before. Obviously ritual canabilism comes up in a great deal of stories but I've been seen a take like this before and I enjoyed the story much more than I originally thought I would. I found it fairly predictable however (though this might just be my cynical outlook on people) but the ending was a good twist if you didn't see it coming.

Art - The manga was well drawn. I liked the orignal take on the mermaids and how they look fairly human.

Character - In the end, it is only three chapters but I ... felt they explored the characters to the best of their ability in this time period and you got more of a sense of the two female mains than you might in other short mangas. Also the unexpected twist in character was very well done and worked perfectly with the plotline.

Enjoyment - I throughly enjoyed it. It is a nice quick read with an interesting storyline and a fairly disturbing turn of events.
