Intense battle sequences will make you hold your breath in excitement while heartbreaking scenes will make you bawl your eyes out. This list is a social experiment, a study about the manga vs the reader. Academically inclined bunch. These are the studious or smart characters that: here we have some recommendations for manga they can be wholesome or not, funny or not, but they are a gem! Manga that explore a character or characters and how the characters interact with and learn about the world. Slice-of-life Mangas that completely turned about my philosophies and induced me to appreciating the wonders of the little things in life. Manga/Manhwa/Manhua with main characters that either have autism or are characters that could be autistic. Autistic coded characters that aren’t specifically expressed as autistic in the series count as well. Obviously, there are manga that don’t go in depth about autism as that’s extremely rare in manga and anime however I chose stories where I think it’s clear that the characters are on the spectrum, or could be. Every autistic character is different, in no way are any of these stories a clear cut example of every autistic person and if there is bad behavior, I’m not excusing it because they are autistic.
