If you like Perfect Girl Evolution / Wallflower you might like Tamara. The stories are very different, but if you like humor mixed with occasional decapitation and handsome ghosts give it a try. Tamara has a strong girl character who does not fit in anywhere, and she makes those she lives with crazy but she has spunk and there is a supernatural story line. Tamara is by the mangaka of Mars.  

The similarities: both are murder mysteries and have comedic moments that help to break up the dark tone. The differences: Ai no Joou has a bit of romance, while Tamara deals mostly with the friendship between two girls. Tamara also has supernatural elements to it. 

Similar criminal tales. Two of them is a short story with episodic crimes in a world of woomen's thing: parfumes and clothes. The main caracter's "friend' is a beautiful but not so ladylike caracter, charismatic, strong and make a big influence in the story. Beside she the main caracter is a solid and sensitive person.
