Manga: Acchi Kocchi
Both being your typical 4koma, they make for pretty enjoyable reads. While they do rely on gimmicks a lot, they're good enough to get you that interested in the characters just a chapter into the volume. Both contain unrequited love, in which the other person is just too clueless to realize, which makes for lots of funny situations.

Manga: Azumanga Daioh
S.S. ASTRO is basically what you would get if the girls in Azumanga Daioh all grew up and became high school teachers. Same brand of humor, only in a (slightly) more mature light.

Manga: Hidamari Sketch
Both are four-panel mangas with about the same wacky brand of humor. Hidamari Sketch is about four high school girls going through the same art school together, and is fairly slow paced. S. S. ASTRO is about four young teachers enduring the plights of being a high school teacher, with lots of humor and little bits of romance thrown in here and there. If you like S.S. ASTRO, then I can almost guarantee you'll like Hidamari Sketch, and vice versa.
