I have to admit to having a soft spot for good romantic comedies, in particular those that try to be creative in their approach (as opposed to the standard boy-meets-girl affairs that are rife in manga and anime), and in this sense, Midori no Hibi hit almost all the right notes for me.

Midori no Hibi (or Midori Days), is the most well known work of Inoue Kazurou, who is also responsible for Ai Kora and Aoi Destruction. He trained under Fujita Kazuhiro (Ushio and Tora, Karakuri Circus, etc), after winning the 40th Rookie Comic Awards, and the influence of Fujita is readily apparent in Inoue's ...

If your a fan of romance comedies with a touch of drama you will love this one. This manga can leave you laughing in almost every chapter and near the end it can even make you cry. The artwork is fantastic, plot-line is great to. I loved this manga for its romance and because it wasn't serious the entire time nor was it way to comedic. But,you don't take my word for it, try it out yourself, you will surely agree(or at least love it).

The story starts off about Sawamura Seij, a high school delinquent, also known as "Mad Dog Sawamura" because he is undefeated and the most feared delinquent in the whole entire city. However, in all of his glory, he has a weakness, a desperate need for a girlfriend, and sadly he has a huge rejection streak for the pass 17 years. Until one day his "devil's fist" is replaced by a girl named Kasugano Midori, who has a crush on him for 3 years straight! With Midori on his hand his life immediately starts to change as now he is handicapped.

Story: This is probably one ...

STORY:
It's about a boy who everyone labels as a delinquent. What nobody knows is the fact that all he really wants is a girlfriend. He wakes up one day and gets exactly what he wants, except for some reason she's attached to his arm ?!

I have never heard of anything like this, so of course I had to give it a 9.
It's a very unique story.
I would say its much more of a comedy than anything, but i won't deny the fact that there's romance. It's just that there's something that will make you laugh in every chapter, so the comedy is always there.
The romance ...

Ah, Midori Days (or Midori no Hibi if you want to be authentic.) This manga was one of my favorites - As a matter of fact, it's one of the few that I bothered collecting every volume of.

Along with a very cute story, this manga is freakin' hilarious. There are quite a few bits of innuendo (but what manga doesn't have a little these days?) and there are quite a few references to other manga (there's a Demon's Spellbook from Konjiki no Gash Bell!!/Zatch Bell! in one of the chapters.)

Like a lot of teen manga these days, Midori has its share of nudity. Although Midori ...

I thought this will be a typical romance manga: guy and girl got together, love rivals appear, argue/quarrel, then happily ever after.

But it isn't just about romance, the story has got depth and what I love best is that you could see the growth in the characters as you journey through the story. And the idea of the female protagonist is on the right hand of the guy she loves is extremely amusing! I got thrown off by it and just couldn't stop laughing.

At the end of it, I grew so fond of the characters and the plot that it leaves me feeling satisfied ...

Imagine yourself in this kind of situation: You're a 17-year old male high school student who is infamous in schools all around the city as the toughest delinquent. A bad ass. You and your "Devil's Right Hand" get maximum respect by everyone due to fear. But because of the same reason, you've been rejected by all the girls you've asked to be your girlfriend (20 rejections and counting). But one day, your wish was granted. There, a cute girl has confessed her feelings about you. Problem is: she's your right hand. No metaphors, no double meanings. A freaking legit, flesh-and-blood girl has become your ...

One of the BEST romantic comedies out there, (well in my opinion) The story has a very unique hook, unlike a cheap and rushed romantic comedy you see in the market. It's kinda slow paced but at the same time fast and for once you can really understand what's going on. The blend of romance and comedy is perfect in this manga, it doesn't fill up one page after another with lame jokes. I would highly suggest you read the manga and watch the anime right after.

Marvellous story, I strongly recommend to read it to everyone!
It isn't boring or anything, just fun, fun and fun, and I think really worth to read it least once time! ^__^

Ps iread in Shonen star magazine, had i spent more money to buy the comic, i would be more critical,.

+Seiji is not a dork,
he is the strongest kid in town. The last thing thing i want to do is to read a story about good for nothing guy. This guy has a reedeming value.

+ A shoujo ai that a guy can read
Seiji is not the rich, cool, good at everything guy. He is a rebel, and just like a normal guy, he ...

Before I begin the anime really made me decide for the first time in my life to buy a manga instead of reading online. The story and the ost touched me deeply. But the story is not the full story without the manga. And for that manga really is pure and beautiful and adds more depth to characters even more than the anime.

he relationship between Midori and Senji touched a deep part of my soul. Seeing Senji change. Seeing Midori overcome her own fear of self. Seeing so many characters fill me up with a sense of wonder, joy, ...

I have a real soft spot for these kinds of manga. Ichigo 100%, Nozo x Kimi, Tonakashi, Love Hina etc. They somehow manage to combine the weirdest and funniest humor I've ever seen with the most heart wrenching scenes of any romance genre (I always tear up at the end) and all of them are straight 10s on my MAL and in my heart.

This one's no different. Every chapter was amazing and even the filler never got boring. It's not that short either so it must be good if it kept me 100% invested till the end.
The late 90s to late 00s were a special ...
