When it comes to relationships, Akarui Sekai Keikaku and Mousugu Shinu Hito has a rather peculiar way of getting their message across. Both series has a main protagonist who attracts a decent amount of girls. However, they are put under an unusual circumstance that involves 'love or death'. Mousugu Shinu Hito is noted for more mature content and graphic violence on occasions while Akarui Sekai Keikaku usually maintains a lighthearted mood. 

Both are Harem mangas involving very messed up women. Both also deconstruct core aspects of the Harem Genre. Mousugu Shinu Hito asks why the women would crowd around a guy, and Abnormal-kei Joshi asks what type of women would. 

Both manga series have a dark, psychological theme that surrounds the main character. Both mangas switch between normal,cute, comedy scenario to the psychological horror scenario Both manga series contains some aspects of romance Both manga have gory scenes Both mangas contain death Overall i just felt like they had a similar feeling to them. 

Both mangas begin by presenting themselves as lighthearted slice-of-life stories, but quickly escalate into horror stories with strange and mysterious deaths plaguing the lives of the main characters. 

Both manga contain gore and deaths. Both have childhood friends that are hiding secrets. Both have live or die situations.
