Both shows are cute slice of life shows featuring a cast of cute girls doing cute things. A new girl (Amako and Kokoa) move to a new town and easily makes friends with a variety of characters. They spent their time hanging out together.

These manga have a very similar setting, a group of teenage girls living and working together, as well as art style and sense of humour, playing up how the characters are between childhood and adulthood in a lighthearted, goofy way. There even are a lot of parallels between their main casts. And they are serialised with the same 4koma format in the same magazine, so it's not for nothing Comic Girls is called the new GochiUsa in Japan.

Rather than following any complicated linear story, both series adapts a simple slice of life environment with a colorful cast of characters. The majority of the main characters' cast are made up of young girls of diverse personalities. Yet, there is a good relationship that connects them together as they take on everyday challenges. Both series has a good amount of genuine comedy that inspires laughter. Recommended for fans who are interested in a charming slice of life.

Yumemiru Maid no Tea Time is an overtly yuri version of Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?. Both series are about girls working in a café and their daily interactions as well as their interactions with the girls working in a rival café. Ranko is very obviously modeled after Syaro, they're not even trying to hide it. The café that they work at in Yumemiru is called Bloom, likely a reference to the final season of the GochiUsa animé of the same name. GochiUsa has a much slower and more engaging plot.
