Heaven's Will was a little one shot i read a year back because i didn't have much time to get into a long story. I read one-shots here and there and they always leave me wishing for more. It wasn't different with Heaven's will. I would of liked to see it develop a little more. I haven't read anything more by Satoru Takamiya, but this peeked my interest to read a few of her other works.
What you get is a simple entertaining story thats good for rainy days. The story isn't really anything too new, but it has a few little quirks here
...
and there that are intersting. The characters where fun and you had to love Seto's Classic Lolita inspired clothing and hair. ^-^
Besides being short and a one-shot the story wasn't so bland that you wondered why you where reading it in the first place. Also the content didn't seem rushed or squished, if you took your time. If you rush through a manga, of course it will seem rushed, its physics. ^-^ XD Just a cute little story about a boy with a sad past and that now lives to be an exorcist. There isn't to much about the other two main characters. A typical girl, Mizuku, thats extermly shy around boys and has a sort of curse that Seto will help her with. Kagari was just there with Sero because of his past. The characters had a interesting relations with eachother that was funny at times and curious.
I enjoyed the manga, i felt that i should have a cup of tea when i was reading it. Or something sweet because Seto's obession with sweets left me craving for cake. :) I don't find to many mangas like Heaven's will that have all those little elements of genre and detail done right.
For a sweet little treat i suggest you give Heaven's Will a try!
