"Wild Life" and "Doubutsu no Oishasan" are both incredibly enthralling works that tackle veterinary medicine (a rather obscure theme in manga). Immersive stories that has discernibly been heavily researched by its authors. While Doubutsu no Oishasan is about a veterinary student who has to handle snow pileups, temperamental animals and eccentric professors; here we see a rookie veterinarian wrestle with a wild environment.... and even wilder patients.  

Shiina-kun is a contemporary shoujo twist on Doubutsu no Oishasan. Both are episodic, comedic shoujo manga that focus on people who regularly work/study/care for animals.
