The Akechi family has very similar Family Feels to that of Ryuuichi and Kotaro. Both families have lost important loved ones; and in both cases, someone special comes along to help fill the gap left behind. The art and story may be different (in Boku Wa's case, the manga is older and the art not to everyone's taste), but I guarantee that if you love one, you'll love the other!

Both are heartwarming stories about elementary school students raised by single fathers. Other people step in help the fathers raise the children. Both are about the importance of family and about how that family is not necessarily composed of blood relations.

Both involve child-care because of lost loved ones. Very sweet and loving characters and super cute kids. Slice of life type manga. The big difference is that in Boku Wa Ne there's no romance because two guys are raising the kids and it's not going for BL but more of a happy make-shift family type thing.

Shoujos with lovey-dovey cuddliness, and strange family relations.
