Synopsis

Ever since he was a child, Kuranosuke possessed the power to fly—but only if he was beside his best friend Jouji "Jou" Beckman. Unfortunately, Jou fell ill often and was eventually hospitalized for his condition, separating the pair for five years. Now reunited with his friend, Kuranosuke tries to make up for lost time even though Jou seems hesitant to rekindle their bond.

While they are walking home, Jou's condition begins to act up once more, causing Kuranosuke to panic as he tries to find a way to help his friend. While attempting to buy Jou some water for his cough, Kuranosuke ends up stumbling into another dimension called the Schrödinger Manor where a quirky woman informs him that he is the "Plus Alpha"—a human imbued with magical power—that she has been looking for. However, when it turns out that Jou is actually the Plus Alpha, Kuranosuke and Jou's relationship begins to sour as the two struggle to come to terms with the nature of their friendship.
