Similarities: - Slapstick comedies that are self aware. - Ultra violent and aggressive female leads. - Cryptozoology references. Differences: - 'Jashin-chan Dropkick' is a slice of life with lots of dark humour and moments. - 'Tsujiura-san to Chupacabra?' is a love triangle romance.

Similarities: -Slice of life comedy with supernatural themes -A semi-human becomes a roomate of a human protagonist Dissimilarities: -In "Dropkick On My Devil!" there are mainly female characters and in "Merman In My Tub" - male. -"Dropkick On My Devil!" has a lot of gore while "Merman In My Tub" doesn't have it at all.

Anyone interested in some rather unorthodox comedy involving monster girls should give these two series a try. Both series involves everyday life events involving female characters that takes the form of monster girls. There is diversity and each chapter explores a bit of it with humor. Monster Musume does have harem antics with a main male lead while Jashin-chan Dropkick retains more of a slice of life style.
