The Shogakukan Manga Award (小学館漫画賞, Shōgakukan Mangashō) is one of Japan's major manga awards, sponsored by Shogakukan Publishing. It has been awarded annually for serialized manga since 1955 and features candidates from a number of publishers. Each winning work will be honored with a bronze statuette and a prize of 1 million yen (about US$9,000). The Japan Media Arts Festival is an annual festival held since 1997 by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs. The festival begins with an open competition and culminates with the awarding of several prizes and an exhibition.    Titles that narrate feelings through touch and gestures. Great manga under 10k members (as of 05/02/2023)   Mangá² podcast recommendations (#050-#099)   shoujo and josei titles that may appeal more to shounen/seinen readers looking to get into the demographic but want to avoid the stereotypical shoujo romances told from the female POV   Manga against the patriarchy.   The best shoujo and josei manga I have read and or plan to read!   Based on sales I found online.   Titles that allowed or have very explicit feministic reads to them.    mostly expressed through complex prominent relationships  - Just because it has sex and/or drugs doesn't mean it's good. I might be willing to consider rock'n'roll though.  Most of the manga series mentioned will be lesser known or the ones which are ignored by the masses and falls in obscurity   BL Manga adapted to Drama or Movie   |
