They're both funny, cute, and shoujo. If they ever made a crossover, it's like putting butter on bread. Both of them have this in common: one of the main character hates the other main character by being jealous of their superiority. One's ambiguous, the other's stoic. Akane hates her twin brother, Aoi while Yanagi hates his rival, Kujou, but they're always together over time with love obstacles, of course. The difference is age and relation. Kujou and Yanagi are 2nd year college students, rival since elementary school. Akane and Aoi are middle-high school twins.

Both girls in the mangas are trying to surpass a boy. They are both shoujo.

The main characters remind me of each other... Also they are school shoujo's, neither of them start with high school. Nekota no Koto ga Kininatte Shikatanai starts in their elementary school years, Romantica Clock starts in their middle school years. So the characters are a bit more immature (in an accurate way, not annoying as long as you keep in mind that they are younger) and their love more innocent. Also if you tire of the typical "mean" girl who has no other personality other than "mean," & hates the female protagonist - both manga avert that with their brattier girl characters, who retain charming personalities.

Even though both are not alike in the plot, both stories have twins as protagonists with the very same names: Akane & Aoi. Both evoke a nice warming feeling of the beauty of bonds, whether they are family, friends, or even lovers. Beautiful artwork and nice pacing complete both mangas.
