Manga collected in this stack have stories which focus on the struggles of maintaining, repairing, or building family bonds. These relationships should be between the main characters and must be non-romantic in nature. ![]() ![]() Manga series that were left unfinished, but don't yet have the "Discontinued" status on MAL. The Japan Media Arts Festival is an annual festival held since 1997 by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs. The festival begins with an open competition and culminates with the awarding of several prizes and an exhibition. ![]() ![]() A not-perfectly-exhaustive list of manga and light novel series left incomplete or discontinued due to death of the/a creator. ![]() ![]() Please do check out Part 2 if you want more! https://myanimelist.net/stacks/14189 ![]() ![]() These are all Joesei manga that I’ve found interesting! It’s all manga, there aren’t any manhua or manhwa in here at all. Remember, Josei is a demographic so while there are a lot of heterosexual romance manga in here there’s also Boy’s Love, mystery, action, thriller, isekai, and etc. I hope you find a new manga to enjoy! ![]() ![]() manga exploring issues or topics that aren't discussed often enough. ![]() ![]() Manga where a main or otherwise central character has a disability. I've tried to be inclusive of different types of disabilities as I come across them and hope to update this list over time as I discover more. ![]() ![]() Many of these also have good anime adaptations! ![]() ![]() The characters listed in this aren't necessarily confirmed to be autistic but can be very autistic coded ![]() ![]() Personal manga collection of voice actor/youtuber SungWon Cho. ![]() ![]() Here are all the josei manga I think one should read in order to cover all bases. I organized this list by general theme, with publishing series at the bottom. ![]() ![]() Manga/Manhwa/Manhua with main characters that either have autism or are characters that could be autistic. Autistic coded characters that aren’t specifically expressed as autistic in the series count as well. Obviously, there are manga that don’t go in depth about autism as that’s extremely rare in manga and anime however I chose stories where I think it’s clear that the characters are on the spectrum, or could be. Every autistic character is different, in no way are any of these stories a clear cut example of every autistic person and if there is bad behavior, I’m not excusing it because they are autistic. There are all types of people, including autistic people, and this list is just stating whether or not they fit the diagnosis in my head. (Currently updating descriptions and explanations) ![]() ![]() Manga imo that has an optimistic, feel good vibe. Probably a lot of slice of life vibes. Feels genuine and kind to its characters. explores different types of people and is empathetic. |
