Preliminary Spoiler

Preliminary (88/219 chp)
Pastel is an interesting Shounen, Romantic, Comedy about the growing relationship between potential half-brother and half-sister. The story starts of as a typical "boy meets girl and then they somehow end up living together" but after the first couple initial volumes it just drags on with random stuff for 10 volumes, with the main relationship not developing at all. The only thing that keeps the story interesting during this time are the hilarious antics the characters get themselves into and the other relationships that develop in the time. Yet the fact that we have yet another "loser-kun" protagonist, will remain on your mind for the ...

87 chapters read so far

the good thing with pastel is that each character has a story. it doesn't really focus on the relationship that needs to be established between mugi and yu rather, it focuses on how parties deal with so as to drive down to that relationship.

pastel is definitely a cheesy manga with lots of lines that one could quote at. sometimes, that cheesiness causes the readers to dislike pastel put i believe that the 'cheesy factor' of the manga is balanced by how the situation is percieved by every character. thus, the story is seen from yu and mugi's perspective ON their relationship ...

To be honest I don't know what happens with me with this manga. Even if is a typical romance with some ecchi I find it very funny and entertaining. I might have read all the manga 3 or 4 time in 4 years and each time I have read it i love it.

Well let's start the review:

- Story: 7
What to say, is nothing really special. Is just a story that a boy end up living with 2 girls and he is in love with one of her. The story it doesn't really focus ...

Non-stop laugh out loud gut busting fun!!!!

That is one of the best ways to describe this series, I am a major comedy fiend for anime/manga so natural I came across this series after reading Ane Doki!. And I was hooked, the characters are as to be expected with any harem/ecchi comedy; however as the story goes along you tend to enjoy the characters more and more and that is simply because they all have a awesome personalities and realistic feeling back stories. Now this IS a romantic comedy mind you so no serious twists in the plot line just simple, slice of life ...

Pastel is a romantic manga series that has a loyal fan base and has received mixed reviews from critics. Some people appreciate the touching love story and strong characters, while others criticize the story as clichéd and unoriginal.

However, if you enjoy manga with romantic and slice-of-life genres, then Pastel can be an enjoyable read. Despite some criticisms, the manga still has fans who love the sweet and heartwarming love story presented in it.

Therefore, whether or not Pastel is good depends on the reader's preferences. If you enjoy this genre, then this manga can be a good choice for you.

Pastel is one of my most favored mangas!

The Story so far is outstanding its a comedic ecchi manga (sometimes a little harem though) about the troubles of confession and love. Mugi Tadano, who recently had a break up, has found a new love and that is Yuu Tsukisaki.

The Art really does suit the theme of the manga, much like Lovely Complex. Comedy art style that suits well with its ecchi romance.

The Character wasn't bad neither most people had their screen time and the story doesn't focus only on Mugi and Yuu's Character development.

Enjoyment & Overall
Even though the manga hasn't been completed, it shows its ...

Preliminary (132/219 chp)
This is a very strange manga. For one, it went on way too long. The stories became very repetitive around volume 18. By then all that needed to be said had been. A few volumes after the various confessions take place, there isn't a whole lot of meat left in the story.
In general, I feel that this mangaka's best work was his other series "Parallel" which is 4 volumes.
In specific, for reasons unknown, by volume 27 there was a drastic change in the art style, and by chapter 132 it was so bad that I ...

Preliminary (30/219 chp)
Beware: As of October 29th, 2019, this Manga has not received an updated translation in about a year and a half. It currently has 153/219 chapters completed. Furthermore, it should be noted that of chapters I've read and previewed, maybe three of them contain anything resembling plot progression. The pacing of this "romance" stretched the boundary of real human tolerance.

That said, this is an enjoyable comedy, filled with harmless ecci fun. The art is great, and the characters are (reasonably) sympathetic. Read this like a "Slice of Life", and not like a "Romance", and you might be happy. This is for people who are looking ...
