This was a sweet and mature romance traveling on some dark rails. It’s very unexpected and surprising and not at all a typical yaoi plot.

What I liked about it:

1. It surprised me. It seemed somewhat typical at first but quickly turned all my expectations on their head.
2. The roles of the uke and seme were somewhat reversed from their roles in the relationship. The man with more emotional and mental power was not the seme.
3. There were no blushing maidens and no one was coerced. (Not that I mind coercion, it was just a refreshing change to not ...

There are only a handful of mangas that I really, truly, from-the-bottom-of-my-heart like, and this is one of them. Nothing about this yaoi is typical and everything about it - the art, the relationship dynamics, the plot - and I mean EVERYTHING about it is super engaging and wonderful! The uke-seme roles are not rigid and the characters are three-dimensional. The plot is interesting and keeps on your toes the whole time. I also really like the way their relationship developed and paced itself to become the way it did at the end. I thought that was done very beautifully! The story is also thrilling ...
