TL;DR
Read this. Funny, thoughtful, emotional, this is a real classic.

Story: 9/10
Excellently written, we get to follow the characters throughout the academic year. It's relatable and consistently intelligent both in terms of assassinations and how to tells it's message. And it does have a message despite the silly premise, this is a very opinionated manga. This manga is essentially the authors education philosophy in graphic form. I have seen multiple people say that it inspired them to become teachers and I can absolutely see why.

On the other hand, the manga can feel a bit too blunt with the message sometimes, for example, making the ... discrimination against class 3-E too exaggerated which feels silly. Also, in the later stage of the manga, it feels like the drama is resolved too easily/quickly, not matching the stakes of the situation. It can rob the tension when you know it can be solved in 2-3 chapters.

The ending is amazing. I wasn't sure how they would make a satisfying end here but the author really did it. Very few manga has made me genuinely emotional, this is one.

Art: 8/10
The art matches the quality of the story, it's good, showing the characters emotions, comedic moments or spectacular assassination attempts.

Characters: 7/10
The manga does have a main character of sorts, Nagisa. However, the true protagonist is class 3-E as a whole. This is a great strength, with us getting an overview of each character in the class, seeing their strengths and weaknesses. It's great seeing their growth as well as how they work together. This Is also a weakness however, having so many characters means that every character is fairly shallow. Despite being stretched so thin, the author uses the time well, with every character getting enough time to get a view of their personality and showing up in later chapters rather than just disappearing. There are characters who get more focus and there is Koro-sensei himself (itself?) but I can't talk about how interesting they are without spoilers.

Overall: 9/10
Brilliantly plotted, with a surprisingly memorable class. I recommend this without reservation.

I absolutely LOVED this manga. This is one of the best ones out there. The story is absolutely amazing, with the school setting mixed with action and comedy. I don't even know how they did it, but it all perfectly blends together to create a fun, action-packed, yet emotional story.

The art is really good! I like the sleek look of the characters, and each of them has their own personality to them just based on their character design. They're all unique in their own way.

The characters are fun, yet driven by their motivation so much so that you're cheering them on. Koro-Sensei is an overall ... lovable person with a deep backstory, who is most times silly, and other times a mentor when needed be. I was attatched to all of the characters, especially Koro-Sensei.

I enjoyed reading it very much. I had a lot of laughs, and a lot of tears as well (I can't even tell you how much I SOBBED). This is pretty much my favorite manga of all time and I definitely would recommend you to read it!

Assassination classroom is not a great action manga. It is however a great slice of life manga with action.
All of the characters in the class are fleshed out and given usually a chapter or more to make themselves unique and different. This is good because most of the manga is about them and their relationship with Koro-sensei. The main character is a bit bland at first because he is the vehicle to view the interactions between the other students and Koro-sensei. However, as things go on he does grow and get stronger. Which is not something usually seen from the usually pretty static main ... characters of slice of life manga.

As in most slice of life the overall story isn't nearly as strong as the day-to-day stories. However, because it does have an overall story it does make it more impactful as these are characters you have learned about and hopefully care about.

Overall Assassination Classroom is a pretty good slice of life manga with a lot of charm, some action, and an overall plot that doesn't overstay its welcome.
