A short and worthwile Manga for those who love this kind of genre

The manga was just like any another romantic comedy you can find anywhere. There is nothing really unique or new but at least it was decent. The story is pretty shallow and cliché , but its not bad. The characters are not too deep and sometimes unrealistic, Especially on the first part (not gonna mention it).On the last part, I would conclude that the ending was rushed. I did not expect it would end so fast.

If you think I hated the series, then you are wrong. Though all that is written here seems ... like a bad comment, it still doesnt mean that this series sucks. it only turns out this way, because i only stated the flaws of the manga.

Over all i will give it 7 (Good) since it was Satisfying

Upon finishing this manga, i was left with a really light happy feeling at the end and manga which we can learn to move on life.

Story - 9/10

The story revolved around a young man named Fuwa Rito who is an otaku and is unable to deal with 3D woman, why you ask? Well that would be spoiling the story. Carrying on Fuwa meets a young lady named Fuwari that works at a maid cafe, this encountering was the first step of his ever so changing life. To sum up why i love the story is because it was simple, funny and quite enjoyable the only ... thing i didn't liked was that the ending was rather rushed.

Art - 10/10

The art in this manga is very beautiful and great to look at (try to be not distracted by the large amount of oppai though).

Character - 8/10

The characters were quite funny in this manga especially drunk Fuwari. Fuwa has a childhood friend named Ruri which was one of the important plot driven character. Fuwa was the usual oblivious main character but changes a lot by the end of the manga. The main characters of the manga all have a conflict which they resolved in the end, each with their own short backstory which was done nicely.

Overall - 9/10

This manga is one of my favourite manga so far, for a short manga it has been exceptionally well thought out and was very enjoyable but also had a nice meaning to it. If you enjoy a short comedy/romance manga then you will like this manga

At first glance this manga seems to be another cliched story about an otaku meeting a girl and falling in love but I assure you, it has its own twists to make the story interesting. The art is easy to look at and the storyline is easy to follow.

The story revolves around Fuwa Rito who is an otaku but was not always like this. He was made a laughing stock of his school when a girl lost a bet and had to confess to Fuwa as punishment. After finding out, he was never able to trust a woman again and enclosed himself in the ... world of 2d until his friend sets him up with a group date.

A lot of reviews seem to praise this manga. Although I find it an ok read, I definitely wasn't pleased with the story.

Story - 6/10
Pretty standard romcom that got a little better near the end. However, my biggest issue with this story is how forced it feels. It's incredibly obvious that the author intends to "ship" a particular pair, and goes to great lengths to bend the story to fit it. Normally, this would be acceptable. However, with the short length of this manga, the necessary elements weren't developed. The reader did not get a real chance to empathize with the MC or heroines.
Within the story itself, there was practically very little development, and the ending felt more as a result of a deus-ex-machina thanks to convenient flashbacks that somehow resolve the problems rather than out of character growth of plot development. The MC just happens to already be in love, even though he acted the same way towards other contenders in the love triangle in the past, and trauma that haunted him for years just vanishes at the end due to a tiny realization. Towards the end, the series started a strong arc that ended up leading nowhere, and nothing came out of it.

Art - 8/10
Standard fare, nothing special. Characters are distinct and defined. Background fits. Character design was a tiny bit quirky for my taste but not bad.

Character - 6/10
Characters were stereotypical: Childhood friend type, big-breast type, sadistic kuudere type. The one character (Ruri) that actually had the most development in the series gets screwed over.
The main heroine had practically no development at all, and weaseled her way to the ending by practically being drunk and crying, even though she had a strong start. It felt cheap, and the romance didn't feel deserved.
The MC seems like he was under a hypnotic love spell that pointed towards only one girl for reasons not revealed until near the end (which ended up being a total cop-out for a reason too), and puts himself down way too much for no reason.
Not to mention the random introduction of another titular character that felt like the author had no other way out, and really out of place (although she did freshen up the series due to how ridiculous she is).

Enjoyment - 6/10
It was enjoyable enough. The drama wasn't particularly heavy, and the humor was pretty average for a romcom. It, however, definitely left a feeling of frustration behind with how it ended, and I'm confident to say I won't be re-reading this any time soon.

Renai Shimasen Ka?... Not a popular manga a lot of people have heard about. The first impression you get might be – “Oh well, another ecchi comedy, romance cliché”, however I have to say it stays away from unoriginality and it is worth reading.

Renai Shimasen Ka?’s author (story and art) is Roku Tachibana. His other works include Netabare Sensou (Spoiler Wars) and Inugami-san to Sarutobi-kun wa Naka ga Warui.
The manga was released in three volumes and sixteen chapters and ended on the 3rd of August 2013.

 STORY
The story follows Fuwa Rito, a boy who has had his emotions toyed with as a ... kid in high school. That has left a deep scar in his heart and now he has trouble trusting women so he spends all of his time playing gal games (also known as “pretty girl games”). His friend Tanaka Ruri, however is concerned about his situation and is willing to help him so she tries to set him up on a group date. Even though it is unsuccessful Fuwa meets a girl who works in a maid café (Fuwari – the girl’s maid name) and there is when the plot starts moving. The girl makes an interesting proposal to Fuwa, which he accepts out of curiosity, even though he is really confused. Little does he know that this is the beginning of his changed life.
The plot continues to resolve around Fuwa, Ruri and Fuwari with a lot of funny accidents, love triangles and situations and the typical things in every ecchi, comedy manga. However, there is something attractive in this series for me and I have to say I fairly enjoyed it till the end. The only negative point I can mention is that the ending was obviously rushed and too straightforward. I would have preferred if it was more organized and well-thought.
The story has a fair amount of twist and turns for a 16 chapters manga and it is not the cliché everyday ecchi-romance thing.
 CHARACTERS
I found the character quite enjoyable to observe, with various and interesting personalities.
As mentioned Fuwa Rito has an interesting personality and past, which makes him an intriguing character who promises a lot of development. What makes him unique is that he is that otaku no-life type, but at the same time he is able to socialize just fine and he can easily go out of his otaku shell… If someone pushes him out. Tanaka Ruri’s efforts to change the situation he is in are also worth mentioning. At first she appears to be a character indifferent to everything, but with the development of the plot and moving of the storyline I came to realize she is the tsundere type, who is also hiding a secret and undergoes a serious character development. She is a funny and spontaneous character I really loved in the series. Her willingness to help Fuwa was the reason a lot of events took place and I really appreciated her during the chapters.
Hoshino Shizuki also known as Fuwari (her maid name) is the shy maid type we are used to seeing. But there was something about her that made me appreciate her. Her competitiveness and unexpected behavior (in a good way) were what caught my attention. And of course as every character in this series she has a secret she unveils in the end of the manga. She was quite fun to observe I admit, the development of her relationship with both Fuwa and Ruri were worth seeing and were full of twists and turns. Her personality and actions start setting the foundations of a very interesting relationship with the main character and are also the reason for a lot of events taking place throughout the manga. So in overall she is an enjoyable character to follow (I have to mention oppai as well :3).
Sakuraki Akihiro and Sakagami Tomohiko are the two supporting characters, friends of Fuwa Rito and also his roommates. There is not much to say about them since they make an appearance the first one or two chapters and then show up just to add a little stupidity and humor to the storyline. The typical no-life otakus (unlike Fuwa), who have no knowledge of how to interact with real people and the only think they dream about is … guess what – boobs. But I have to admit they did their job in contributing to the awkward and funny situations in the manga several times.
 ART
I have to say the art was really good. It suited my expectations for this kind of light, relaxing type of manga. As mentioned the artist of the manga is Tachibana Roku, not a really famous one, but he deserves some appreciation. He has two more manga he worked on, both of which have a great artwork as well, but Renai Shimasen Ka? definitely stands on top. The art is contemporary with a touch of originality, it is obvious that the artist drew with passion. I sincerely enjoyed the art and storyline of the manga!
Also this is only Roku’s second work ( his last project - Inugami-san to Sarutobi-kun wa Naka ga Warui finalized in 2014) which is quite remarkable and means he can only improve in the future.

So in overall, I have to say Renai Shimasen Ka? is a manga worth reading. Being an ecchi, comedy, romance manga it stays away from clichés, but has anything necessary for the genres and makes the experience of reading it quite enjoyable. There is a fair amount of oppai, nudity, pantsu and everything an ecchi should have. The story is complicated enough for a 16 chapters manga and there is a great deal of character development, the relationship between different character are fun to observe and develop fast. The art is also really good and this makes the manga even better. The only negative point I have to mention is that the ending was too rushed and it deserved more than 16 chapters.

I would say it is not the best 16 chapters I've read but it was certainly a refreshing read.From the bittersweet ending to the in depth of its characters it was enjoyable.The backstory was presented in an unoriginal way and you expect certain things to happen but that doesn't stop the reader from being intrigued.The best part were the characters they were compelling enough to be invested in how they would develop throughout the story.All in all I believe it was a solid story that may but up for debate but I can definitely say this is not for everyone. Those who dislike cliches and ... other undertones of this story should read something they would enjoy.

Another great love story written by Roku Tachibana. Nice and short, the story of a young man who was hurt by someone in the past, falls in love with someone he meets in a cafe. Meanwhile his childhood friend confesses to him and wants to have him all to herself. Not unique, but the characters and writing of the story is the real highlight of the story.

The Art is fantastic. Like, I really like how this manga was done. The art is tasteful, and EVEN THOUGH the love interest have a big set of breasts, it's a story that ISN'T ECCHI. That's a first ... for me lol. But really, it's awesome. The illustrator did a great job.

Character: Characters really make the plot strong. The interaction and progression of the relationships between characters really draw you in and sympathize with the characters going through emotional rollercoasters.

Overall, very good little story. It could have been a couple chapters longer to flesh out Ruri's feelings (not a spoiler don't worry), but it's good! The chapters are chunky at about 35-40 pages per chapter. Hey, I'm not complaining. My only real complaint is that I believe the main character should have been less of a (excuse my language) f-ing virgin. Get it on man... Hey authors listen up! The adults want some adult content, not just to jerk off too but guess what, sex makes emotions even more complicated. I'm here for all the heartbreak. So lay it on me!
