Almost everything in this list is fully/actively translated in English by licensors or fans. aka "don't let your kid read this alone" manga, or "why the F is this Shounen?" manga. Not for the faint hearted. These are manga series that will put your physical and emotional endurance to test. Series with a prison setting/theme, either institutional jails or informal, DIY prisons. This stack also includes manga that are not listed as "Psychological" in mal database but they still have psychological elements in them E.g. Shoujo Fujuubun. Just manga that are creepy af. Good writing is optional. DECENT writing is optional. The spook is all that matters. - I would have added all of Junji Ito's work but it would fill the entire stack so I only added a few~ Body horror also known as organic horror and bio-horror is a sub-genre of horror in cinema and literature, characterized by special attention to the human body and its transformations. Typical body horror motifs are various diseases, decay, parasitism, mutation and transformation, experiments with the human body and the creation of monsters like Frankenstein's monster. Part 1 -https://myanimelist.net/stacks/6823 Manga eBook bundle available on Humblebundle.com from October 7th 2020 to November 4th 2020 raising money for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Doctors Without Borders. Some of my personal favorite manga that are underrated/underappreciated or are regarded highly but nobody seems to mention. Some manga lack an audience in the west while others struggled with translations during the times of publishing, however every manga listed is amazing and truly works of art that need more attention. This manga list is mostly split into two section, until I expand some more: Psychological and Action, these are great genres on their own, but when you blend them together, it's comes as a dark twisted story with an element that also keeps you engaged with it that makes you crave for more chapters. I'll add more as I read but I hope I make someone read them as well. There are classics here as well as underrated gems, most of them are known to an extent but there are some here that you never heard of. Hope y'all mods happy now. A varied list of horror manga for those who are just now getting into the genre, I will refrain from listing obvious authors such as Junji Itou, as I feel that is low hanging fruit and it would consume most of this list. Well a way to look into new mangas that many people forget is... Looking at the authors of the mangas you liked! who wouldve thought... Right..? This stack will have all of the mangas mentioned in his iceberg video in order. |
