STORY: 7.25/10
When I think of delinquent female characters, not many come to mind or rather, I haven't stumbled upon one lately. (The only one that comes to mind is Yandere Kanojo, a 4-koma styled manga that focuses more heavily on the comedy side of things). This manga with its foundation based on the ecchi and comedic tones cooperate rather well with the battle/action scenes mixed in. Sadly, the series seemed to have been given the editorial axe before it got its feet wet so the ending and overall flow of the story was rather poor and unsatisfying.
ART: 7.75/10
The artwork is seriously outstanding. I feel most
...
of the attention to detail was given to our delinquent heroine-- and rightfully so *thumbs up*. Whether it was due to the nature of her character or her physical appearance, she was a very alluring character altogether. The same can be said for the secondary female delinquent lead, her design was also superb. The male protagonist however, had a rather simple design- enough to blend in with the supporting cast. Overall, the artwork set the atmosphere of the story and meshed with the school life setting. When there were fight scenes, it got a bit messy at times but they are detailed, well drawn, and flowed very well.
CHARACTERS: 7.5/10
Female delinquent badass character who lays the smackdown on enemies? -- Good stuff.
Female delinquent badass character that lays the smackdown on enemies but is actually a shy kawaii pie underneath that kuudere persona? -- More please. Definitely a memorable character for me personally.
As for our male protagonist, he doesn't do much to stand out. And while the second delinquent girl (Risa) was a promising character with potential to expand upon, the series sadly cut short therefore voiding any possible development.
ENJOYMENT/OVERALL: 7.5/10
A piece of work that hasn't sat right with me ever since I finished reading it. Not in a bad way though. Did I enjoy this manga? Damn straight I did. Although it was cut short, the potential was definitely. I've seen worse manga survive for much longer. I guess it was just bad timing for this piece of work at the time. Confession- I actually did go back to reread the manga from the beginning after my initial run just to get somewhat of a more concrete satisfaction.
