Mangas that go at their own pace with great art and a great story. Both highly recommended.

Both are touching, sweet manga with handsome guys where one in the pair is afraid to scare the other with his feelings and the other is confused yet hopeful of their growing connection. Both have a touch of drama, but just enough to make the following scenes of comforting that much "ahhhh" worthy.

The whole calm, sweet vibe just reminded me of Slow Starter. The art is also different from typical bl manga, going for a more realistic style.

Are you a fan of slow burn? Do you not want the main couple to speak a word to each other for at least the first chapter, and not learn each other's names until after that? The ages of the characters are quite different (high schoolers in Slow Starter vs 30s-40s in Tonari Ni), but both are extremely sweet love stories complete with pining, trying to act normal in front of your crush, and more pining.

Similar in the mood and pace, very nice.

Slow paced, moving and sweet stories about young schoolers knowing each other. Best shounen ai exaples.

I love how in both of these the author goes in their own pace and makes sure that the feelings your supposed to be be seeing get across. It makes these two stories very memorable to me.

They're both slow-paced shounen ai with a focus on realism. They start off by depicting the beginning of a tender friendship, and then only gradually start exploring the possibility of there being something more...

From the same mangaka about two guys meeting each other and falling for each other slowly.
