If you think Sprout sounds like a clique shoujo manga, you're most likely right. The good thing about Sprout is that, despite the unoriginality, the enjoyment of this manga is pretty high.
The story seems a little unrealistic and the art was adequate at best. The place where this manga shines is in the relationship between the characters. The complexity that goes on between the two couples is more in depth than other shoujo mangas. I felt there was enough comical characters to not weigh down the entire series with all the drama that goes on.

Sprout starts innocently at first and can seem to be the kind of story that could be different from other shoujo mainly because of the setting the author has put in the main character in. Not many shoujo begin with a heroine that already has a boyfriend. But when her parents want to turn the house into a boarding house for some extra cash, it's easy to tell where this story is going. The heroine encounters people that invade her life and aim to stay for a while, and living in her own house will never be the same again.

This manga has made me come into confusion. First of all, i don't really like how things go in this manga, so the best i could give is only 7/10. There are several dramas and it is quite painful to see how things go with the MC in this manga. So, i'm gonna give u a review here, but it will contain some spoiler so skip it if u want.
Story (8/10) what i like in this manga is how the drama keeps the story interesting. It tells about unrequited love to a boy who already has a girlfriend. I like to read this kind of plot ...

If you're looking for romance with good development, this is not the manga to read. Although the story line is fresh, this manga continued to fall short of my expectations. If you need something to read in the meantime though, go for it.
There wasn't a character that was completely annoying or anything which is nice, but in my opinion the characters were just okay; every character was considerate in some way, always thinking and had their own qualities, but for some reason it just wasn't enough.
