Both protagonists lift the spirit of their teammates, short and not one to be looked down upon. The other characters are also likable. There is comedy and a road to becoming the best (kind of obvious).

At the first sight both are stories about a boy coming from country side to a bigger town with a wish joining to a high school team and make new friends. Basketball, that's what these two series are about, they also deal with "new" players and school basketball teams which need to prove themselves against others. Through struggles here and there they manage to get through. Some characters are pretty similar, just as some matches and particular scenes.
