They're both sports manga, one about tennis and the other about badminton.. both fun to read.

Similar story about romance with sports background. Both follows the path of MC's sports career. As Cross Game has a subtle romance, in Smash it has more impact to the whole story. In both stories both MC's are sports prodigies.

Hikaru no Go and Smash! both deal with sports where japan is weaker than the rest of Asia. But beyond that, the "action", progression, and endings in both feel similar, and the art is also similar, although Hikaru no Go is better in both. If you liked Smash!, Hikaru no Go is worth a read. If you liked Hikaru no Go, Smash! is worth a try.

Both are well draw sports romance, although suzuka is more dramatic.

Both have a similar mix of Romance and Sports where it feels like time actually passes and things actually progress. Neither feel as if any day is the same as another. You actually free the progress in both the romance and the sports side. They are both romance with a background of sports rather than sports with background of romance.

It really similar in so many aspects. The art, the story, the main character, etc. At first both of the main leads think that badminton is a joke, but they come to realize how difficult it is after being defeated by a really good player. Both main lead then become much more serious and strive to be much better players.

Both (main characters) begin to play the sport because they were enchanted by a talented girl's playing style. They start out weak but show a lot of potential. After losing to a famous player, they decide to take the sport seriously. They partner up with the person they lost to and win many games in tournaments. They both vow to become stronger and challenge the world at a national level.
