THE MANGA AND THE REVIEW IT'S WRITTEN ABOUT ARE FOR ADULTS ONLY. READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. SERIOUSLY I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OFFENSE.
A Sex Therapist is entirely smut.
No one denies that, not even the author. There's no overarching story that connects the characters aside from the story that surrounds Kain, the mysterious so-called sex therapist who winds up sexing up almost every narrator in the series. This story never gets fleshed out, and perhaps that's for the best. Kain's allure is that he can take on the identity of anyone he wants, and giving him an identity of his own would defeat
...
the purpose.
The art is very graphic during the sex scenes, and though the love stories surrounding the characters are sometimes heartwarming, let's be honest: if you're reading this knowing what you're getting into, you're not reading it for the romance. It's like watching a porn scene for the sole purpose of knowing what happens to the pizza boy when he's on a route for several hours. The story matters very little in the scheme of things.
That being said, it's very good porn, perfectly suited for the average person. If you read erotic fan fiction, you will be able to handle A Sex Therapist.
As I've said before, the art is graphic enough to make it porn. Genitalia isn't censored. Appropriate entry points (ahem) aren't censored. It's nice for the beginner yaoi fan who goes without gratification because of easily-accessible manga that has sex scenes without genitalia, though once you get into yaoi it's a little bit easier to find what you're looking for there.
My verdict? If you don't like yaoi, porn or smut of any kind, it's not worth your time. If you like for your smut to have plot, it's not worth your time. But if you like the occasional PWP yaoi romp... I would highly suggest this title.
