Ok, this is my very first time writing a review on this site, plus, english is not my first language, so I'll do my best.
Tiger Mask, to me, is close to a classic masterpiece. It's that kind of manga that, despite its age, it's hurtfully modern. Naoto Date, the protagonist, teaches the readers, of any age, not only kids and young people, to never give up our own hopes and dreams but, especially and more importantly, to never fall for evil and fight for what it's right for us and for ourselves and our honour and morals. It's not easy to be always good and ... kind, and, more than one could think, being good is mostly sacrifice. Naoto Date fights with himself and his cruel past, both in his mind and on the ring.
Tiger Mask is a story of self growth, from the bottom of evil, to rediscover the true kind and gentle heart that everyone has, through the story of Naoto.
This is very personal, but I've read this manga many times, and it's my go-to read when I have problems in life. Tiger Mask always gives me the strenght to move on, to find courage and to stand up for myself and for what I believe.

The drawings may be old and a person who's used to more modern manga can be a bit confused at first, but after a few pages the reading becomes fluent and pefectly understandable.

For people who came here after watching the anime, I'll just say that the animated version is mostly faithful to the original source, but the finale is completely different.

The only thing that I may dislike about this manga is the finale. I won't to into details, obviously, but I felt it wasn't right, especially for the protagonist, justice was not fully served.
