This is my first review so sorry if it's not very clear (plus english is not my mother language)
The story is about two guys wich are curse so they have to go throught life with various falaties and try to not to die.

As a hole, the story is pretty good, however it can be quite unrealistic because of a quite fast romance. The characters are good, they aren't the most memorable character but they are enjoyable and lovable.

It ss a character driven story so a lot of text and not to much action, also is a shounen-ai so there is a love story but until ... now it is not the main thing.

This isn't your typical 'Boys Love' Manga imo.

The story is really unique and somehow complex I must say. It's about two boys trying to survive misfortunes that are tied to them and their families since ages. I don't want to go into heavy details since the whole story unfolds step by step. There are also some twists and turns which surprised me. It's a really story-driven Manga but also with a good amount of Romance. The perfect balance.

The characters are good, nothing to complain about. Ikumi is by far the only one that caught my attention the most. He's not your shy, helpless ... counterpart of the cool, mysterious MC but a surprsingly tough person. What makes the relationship between Chihaya and Ikumi so good is that they actually communicate and support each other to the fullest. Of course they're tied by fate but as the story progresses, they learn more about their ancestors and about themselves as individuals. I love their connection and I would say that they're a healthy and wholesome couple which we don't see very often in other BL. Sometimes I wish we would see more lovey-dovey stuff but that's just my own opinion, it doesn't affect my enjoyment at all.

The art is fine. You can see the artist's improvement throughout the years.

I really enjoy this Manga and I think it's a underrated gem in the BL section. If you want a cute couple and a outstanding story in this genre then this is something for you.

Honestly one of the best BL manga I've read. If you're looking for fanservice and lots of flirting, you won't find it here. The story is focused on plot, but the romance ties into the main plot too so there's no lack of relationship building -- just not a lot of over-the-top butterflies. Kinda more on the angsty/emotional side of romance stories? It explores the characters as individuals which helps add depth to their relationships. The flashbacks are an important part of the story and they're well-executed,, not boring whatsoever. The story is a good pace overall. Both of the main characters are smart and ... rarely get into unnecessary misunderstandings. Even the art is pretty consistent. There's not really anything I'd criticize... there's not even any uncomfortable/negative gay stereotypes (at least as far as I've read) which made the story sm more enjoyable. If you want a sentimental romance with mystery, some action and emotional backstories, I'd recommend.

It's so interesting to see how the story unfolds!

Ikumi and Chihaya's growth — by themselves and together — are admirable, really, they're so charming. Ikumi; who starts pretty clueless and feels so helpless, he slowly changes and gets each time even more certain and most likely to take the first step during a standstill. Chihaya; although his change is not as noticeable, one thing I really enjoyed about him was the way he grew once he actually took notice of his feelings for Ikumi— it was so sweet. In the beginning, although he really did went out of his way to protect Ikumi, his words ... always seemed to fall flat to me. Then, as Ikumi reassures him along the story, as he realizes just how serious he feels about Ikumi, he becomes determined in protecting Ikumi. Not because he feared being in danger or because it was inevitable, but because he feared for Ikumi. And so they meet in the middle.

Really, the way both of them become so genuine about each other and don't let misunderstandings bring them down captivated me very much.

Now… I would have rated it higher had it not been for the brother. Oh my god. He's INSUFFERABLE at the beginning, it felt like his only job was to be a creep and to keep butting in between them. Definitely uncomfortable and I nearly dropped because of him, but the story really reeled me in; which I'm glad it did, and later on even the brother develops into a more interesting character and gets his ass to be Actually Useful for once.

Other than that, I really enjoyed it, although the constant infodump as they survive the misfortunes can get quite overwhelming!! If you're kind of slow like me, I definitely recommend writing down some details to be able to keep up with it haha
