Both mangas are written by the same mangaka. They both have a person that would go to great lengths in order to get the one they love, to go as so far as to imagining killing or actually committing the crime themself. However, Hana wa Knife wo Mi ni Matou is much more lighthearted when compared to Korosaeru nara, Isso Sakura no Ki no Shita de.

The first three chapters in Hatsukoi ni Oboreta are similar to Korosareru nara, Isso Sakura no Ki no Shita de as they both have a person in love with another person while in a relationship or while the other party is in a relationship. The person in love attempts to take back the one they love, or satisfy their needs by using the person. Korosareru nara, Isso Sakura no Ki no Shita de contains tragedy, while Hatsukoi ni Oboreta doesn't. Both works are by the same mangaka.

Both are psychological dark shoujo with unexpected twists. Both have great artwork.
