Manga: Slam Dunk
Both main characters are extremely similar, they both start as delinquents who enter the sport as novices. Also they both have a genius teammate that they extremely hate. Both manga don't require any knowledge about the sport featured and both share similar feelings of comedy and action.

Manga: Diamond no Ace
Both manga are sport related but are not the same sport (baseball and golf). Both main character has a big smile on their face when facing stronger opponents & are simple minded.

Manga: Baby Steps
Baby Steps and King Golf shares a different premise but has a familiar context with the way it develops their main protagonist. Essentially, the MC discovers an interest in a sport (tennis for Baby Tennis and golf for King Golf). Their interest takes them further as they enter professional competition. Throughout both series, we see how much their skills improves as they take on powerful rivals. Both series are also known for their realism and mechanics with strategies. Baby Steps is also known for its subtle romance that becomes evident later on in the story.

both have unique MC, both are new to the sports golf, and both are kinda good at it from the start.
