This was not at all for me. The gore, the bloodshed, the massacre - it was all just...unnecessary. It was just too dark for my taste. The art style was...passable at best. Everything else I just did not care for. I get that Garan had a very troubled past that greatly affected him, but he seemed that he viewed all demons as terrible. It also seemed that he lost all hope in humanity. We went thought the entire story mercilessly killing multiple demons and bad men. Not showing any sort of remorse or regret for his actions. However, in the last chapter, he reveals that
...
he actually has taken in the spawns of demons and help raise them to become better. If that was the case, he should have shown some sort of hope for the future. And while he did leave the kids in the care of that other demon, Mariko, he should have left a child with Mayu - one that would take his place upon his death. Also, why not make Mayu a little older, like nineteen, and give her an more mature body. And none of the villains were memorable, they were all one dimensional, and just vile to their core. Garan claimed to be a bachelor, yet we never see him with any woman. Garan could of had multiple sexual partners, as a way to keep his lineage going - the same as with Mayu at the end. With every single women he's been with pregnant with his child, they could have given birth to the saviors of the shattered world...and bring in a new era, where peace was restored. And does it really make sex wot censure some parts, but keep all the blood and gore? I don't know if other people will like it, but I suppose they should at least give it a chance. Though I personally wouldn't recommend it.
