Most characters and couples in BL have fixed seme/uke roles and it stays like this the entire story. It rarely happens that the characters switch roles and if they do they often only try it once. This stack is a collection of BL stories with reversible/versatile/switching characters, be it one time or several times throughout the story, or them changing over time.

BL manga where the couple is either already together from the start of the listed database entry or gets together quickly. The main focus of the manga is on the couple being in an established relationship. Can have a domestic theme or not. If a sequel is listed here, then the prequel doesn't show the characters in an established relationship. In these cases it's recommended to read the prequel first to see the two characters getting together.

I think it's probably my fav type of BL - I love sweet and fluffy stories, but some of them just crack me up so much that I forget the love part and just enjoy the good laughs they bring.

Live-action adaptations often leave a bad impression on anyone who has read or watched the source material. Many are even quick to say that they just should never exist. But I beg to differ—these kind of shows helps us look at things in another perspective. WILL your interpretation of [manga] be different if it is acted by people? I don't want to say live-actions are good, in fact I'm still cringing most of the time, but they give fresh air at least.

BL Manga with Live-action Adaptations! is exactly what it says. It specifically includes:
‣ Direct adaptations (said show has been adapted)
‣ Indirect adaptations (manga or novels that were created after the live-action).
‣ If both a manga and a novel are on MAL, the direct adaptation will be the only one added due to the interest stack limit.
‣ Upcoming adaptations

i really like when manga has a character cross-dress in it, especially a misunderstanding LGBT crossdressing situation. some of these are not exactly... good... BUT they fit the genre so whatever.

just beautiful art from BL stuff that's candy for my eyes, nothing to do with whether the story is good or bad (because i'll admit there's some bad ones here)

BL Manga adapted to Drama or Movie

There's an anime/manga magazine in Finland called "Anime". I personally read it for ten years but stopped during 2020 bc I didn't like the magazines new look etc but that's not the point.

Over the years this magazine has recommended all shorts of manga/anime so just out of boredom, I decided to check all of the LGBT manga reviews that has gotten "green light" or 5/5 aka are highly recommended to read. I'm mainly adding series that are yaoi/yuri or has really strong LGBT themes, so no just a random series with one lgbt side character. (I check if the series have the tag etc or if the series have heavy lgbt+ related themes)

I'm only adding the entries that I can find from the magazines I have :)
