Sometimes, you have to choose whether you're going to experience a series as a manga or as an anime. In some cases, the two are equally high quality, and the choice comes down to what's more convenient for you. But there are also a lot of anime you should skip for the manga. Manga where a main or otherwise central character has a disability. I've tried to be inclusive of different types of disabilities as I come across them and hope to update this list over time as I discover more. I read two romance manga back to back with disabled main characters and decided to make this list (mostly romance btw LOL). feel free to recommend some <3 Series featuring main leads with some kind of disability. First part of the list of manga which got an official Czech translation/got published in Czech. Either coming out or finished, doesn't include manga that has been announced but hasn't come out yet. Because MAL allows only 50 titles into an interest stack max, this list is split up into two parts. Dark skinned female protagonists/significant main characters (gyarus included!). Largely curated for my own point of reference; you will see mainstream works, but I am trying to focus on lesser-known titles. A seinen manga means a comic published in a magazine targeted towards the mature male demographic in Japan. DISCLAIMER: not every title on this list is trying to be a "good and realistic representation". You've been warned. Vertigo was an imprint of DC Comics that existed between 1993 to 2020. The imprint was made in order for DC to publish comics for more mature audiences.
