Although both main characters are boys in Coda, the two mangas both involve a male finding out a secret that the other protagonist wanted to keep from the public. The protagonist freaks out while the male uses it to his advantage. In Kaichou wa Maid Sama, the secret was that she worked at a maid's cafe. In Coda, Haru dances ballet but has to cross dress. 

Crossdressing mayhem rules the day! In each series, a performing boy (coda: Japanese dance; kinj: kabuki theater) is forced to crossdress. Both boys are reluctant but find the experience empowering as time goes on. I highly recommend reading these manga. 

They are both about main characters trying hard to pursue what the love against their families will and both have a gender bender aspect to the MC. Also, the thing I love about them both is that the characters progression in their passion isn't unbelievable. eg. deus ex machina: "You will be awesome at this" kapow. 

both about guyz who because of different situations turn to cross-dressing in front of others and perform in front of a live audience whilst deceiving the whole world keeping their real gender a secret. one one had coda is a 16 chapter manga which is nice, sweet, short and detailed very good read and I personally wish it had a sequel to it. Now on the other hand we have AKB49 longer obviously longer has alot of interesting arcs art is amazing too and is more upbeat plus it doest have yuri or yaoi elements either way both are simply amazing and both must be read they are just that good well there as good as gender blender is going to get.  read more
