Okay I know that this manga's first chapter was only just released but it kills me to see it's page this empty so I thought now was as good a time as any to jump on reviewing it.

Litchi Hikari Club is like Superjail. Now, for those of you who aren't familiar with Superjail, it is a cartoon set in a surreal jail run by a megalomaniac. In other words, if you liked Litchi Hikari Club, you would probably like the first season of Superjail and its three to five minute long violent brawls. But that was the first season. The second season of Superjail broke away from its gorefest template and focused on character development. Make no mistake, however, the show was still violent as ever.

This two-volume manga is a prequel to the excellent Litchi Hikari Club (2005). The first volume follows the 9 boys' lives before the nightmare begins. The second volume offers insight for the events that take place in the first one third of the original.
If someone wants a pithy edict, it is this: Not only this manga offers nothing, but it can conceivably inflict harm upon the original, therefore it should remain in obscurity.
