The story is completely different. But the atmosphere is similar. And also the art. I particulary recommend it for those who like gothic lolita!!

both are focused on garden themes as well as well as the friendship between a guy lead and a girl lead as well too.

While the stories are pretty different as day and night both do share gothic aesthetics and feel to them as well too in its art and characters.

Two stories immersed in the purest Gothic atmosphere. The overall mood is indeed relatively dark, and addresses themes like death or in the case of Diabolic Garden, demons. However, they still have their funny moments. The dress style of the characters is also similar. Both authors propose girls in gothic lolita. If you like this style of characters, you'll be happy with both Epitaph and Diabolic Garden, as both manga feature a lot of them.

Two works that follow all the codes of the gothic aesthetic in manga. Gothic lolita, vampires, demons, everything is there. They both give off a dark and yet elegant atmosphere. They are also similar in their way of telling several different stories about different characters. In Diabolik Garden, the characters are linked together, while in Chocolate, each story and character are independent of each other. Also, while in Chocolate, stories are only a few pages, in the other manga, there may be an entire volume about one or more characters in particular. Note also that the style of the two authors is very similar, whether it is about  read more
