Both is about a post-apocalyptic desert world where people do bad things to each other to survive. Also there's war and stuff. Really similar setting, almost as they are set in the same universe. Both are highly recommended for any post-apocalyptic fan.

The setting in Alice in Hell and Gangsta is quite similar, a city where different fractions rule and a civil war between them is ever prominent. You've also got feelingless over powered main characters, prostitutes, and lots of violence and tragedy. Both are highly recommended. Oh and if you like me thought "Gangsta" was about a rapper, and Alice in Hell was an Alice in Wonderland adaption, you're completely wrong, luckily.

There's a lot of obvious similarities here, especially the post apocalyptic world, young MCs and the artificially created humanoid. Alice in hell is Matsumoto Jiro styled messed up, even if this appears to be his take on shounen (it's not though, but the MC is not high on drugs and/insane all the time), so Ai-ren is a bit more sweet and innocent. Both are a treat for "post-ies", so be sure to read them both!

Both feature a young skilled MC who end up fighting people. Other than that they are quite different, but the underlying story about a young person who's trying to find its place on the world through violence is the same. Oh and they're both searching for a holyland ;). If you like holyland I'm sure you enjoy Alice in Hell, I do for sure, it's grimier and darker, and a good gateway drug for more Matsumoto Jiro.
