Modern urban fantasy with a delicious blend of comedy and drama, and a great ensemble cast. Yozakura Quartet has a lot more supernatural beings, most of whom are youkai, but there are some prominent supernatural aspects (namely Celty) evident in Durarara!! too. And if the artwork looks familiar, there's a good reason. YZ's mangaka did the artwork for the Durarara!! novels and the anime character design.

Taking place in a modern time setting, Zetsuen no Tempest and Yozakura Quartet takes us at a closer look with some of the main characters and their lives. The main characters from both series has gifted abilities that are capable of supernatural feats. In Zetsuen no Tempest, they deal with magic while Yozakura Quartet's powers revolves around more with spiritual abilities. Despite this, both series has complex character relationships forged from events of the past and present. There is also a decent amount of comedy present and story arcs with promising plot twists.

Taking place in a modern life setting, Tokyo ESP and Yozakura Quartet chronicles the stories of a group of characters with unique special abilities. The main female protagonist from both series have similar personalities and puts others before themselves. At the same time, they get into conflicts with other beings with super abilities as well as public officials. There is presence of lighthearted comedy and relationship dynamics explored in both series. Tokyo ESP has a darker plot while Yozakura Quartet portrays more of a slice of life style. Nonetheless, I recommend both series if you're interested in modern fantasy.

Although the overall tone of the two are quite different, Gintama being a parody-gag manga and YQ more of your typical shonen fare, they share a lot of these deep character backstory arcs that are both action packed and heartwarming.

Taking place in a modern life setting, both series involves supernatural phenomenons and mysterious individuals with unique abilities. There is also a special group of characters in both series that tries to keep peace in their city as they battle conflicts and corruption. Both series' main protagonists are also known for putting others before them with their selfless nature. There is a lot of abnormal events as the story progresses and various unorthodox themes that will give the readers a lot to write home about.

They may not seem alike at first but Yozakura Quartet and World Trigger shares a number of similarities when taken from a modern fantasy/action point of view. Both series revolves around a group of characters with abilities in a place where people should expect the unexpected. There is mysteries regarding events that occur in the settings of both series as well that are explored. With a balance of lighthearted comedy and action, Yozakura Quartet and World Trigger are two series I'd recommend to anyone interested in some modern fantasy/supernatural battles.

Both have Yokai in them. Also there is one human hero in each.

Art is a little similar, same size cast and same use of bloodlines and demons. However in Oninagi they are more villainized than in Yozakura.

There are a number of similarities between the settings of these two manga, normal human's and youkai living together, a focus on young inheritors, each of the main characters having unique abilities. Both manga also have a mix of episodic slice of life material mixed in with a larger over-arching plot. Both of them also switch tone from light hearted to serious with some regularity. However the tone of the two feels quite different and each offers something the other doesnt. If you enjoy one I think you'll enjoy the other while still finding it fresh enough.

Same recipes, powerful yet unstable enemy invade earth from other world (dream world and youkai world). Whether they have different motivations, later they'll do similar acts and reveals. Male lead is a non-combatant yet has distinct power and trying to protect earth, supported by a group of powerful girls.

Humans and supernatural beings intermingling in a strained sort of cohabitation in society and working to thwart looming threats. Werewolves, vampires, reanimated people, gods, and the list goes on! Yozakura Quartet focuses on more modern, human-like supernatural beings who are mostly in the teens, whereas Kaibutsu Oujo/Princess Resurrection has a wider range in its monstrous characters both in appearance and age, but there should be enough overlap in interesting details to make each series appealing to fans of the other.

A premise based on characters with special abilities. Yozakura Quartet and Railgun are about characters with superhuman powers beyond normalcy. There's a slice of life feeling on some cases but also story development involving our characters as revelations are unraveled. The main female character is tough and independent. She is also dedicated with her duties and loyal to her friends. And on a more technical note, both series' action features clash of super powers.
