The story took a long time for me to really get into after the first couple volumes, but then it gets pretty good in the latter half.
The art is great, I love the way the faces/expressions are drawn and portrayed, it really makes it so that you don't even have to read what they say, you know what the characters are thinking.
The main characters are quite deep, while I couldn't really connect to any characters on a personal level, I felt like I could still live through them, their past, and their story.

As stated in the synopsis, this one-shot eventually inspired the full series of the same name. Note that I have not read the full series at the time of this writing, so these impressions will be made solely based on the one-shot.
Story, 7: Given its relatively short length, I thought the story was paced well and allowed for several dynamic scenes between the characters. The ending was very satisfying.
