Here is a list for fellow manga collectors and fans of mahou shoujo, a genre featuring many young girls receiving magical powers and (more often than not) a dress that's as cute as the aesthetic! Can be treated as a rec list for those new to the genre, as it will mainly (and primarily) feature magical girl manga you can find English copies of to read and buy today. Not meant to be a complete/definitive list.

Do note that this list will include magical-girl-adjacent titles, or some fantasy series that aren't usually considered to be part of the genre by some parts of the community—I'll try to put explanations for my reasoning in including them/why I feel they should be considered as a magical girl title... whether you're convinced on the classification or not, hopefully you might still be sold on checking it out regardless.

Physical releases that have been out of print, or will not be printed brand new in stores anymore, will also be included and indicated as such. To find these prints/series, you will need to look outside of your usual bookstores to find used/pre-owned copies. Good luck finding some of these, especially if you're particularly looking for more affordable prices!
Aside from marketplaces like eBay and Mercari, I also recommend checking the following sites as I've found many manga with decent pricing and item conditions from them:
https://www.abebooks.com/
https://www.alibris.com/
https://www.biblio.com/

McBling, Y2K fashion, Frutiger Metro, Funky Seasons, pink, kawaii stuff, glittery sparkles, girly shit, whatever would've made the 5-year-old everythinggirl.com fan in me happy ⋆

I'm glad someone came up with a name for this specific aesthetic I've been craving for again, seriously been waiting for years; "Cyber Stylin'" sounds like an interesting name. Also discovering all these after a while start to make me think of magazines like Seventeen for some reason... I guess cuz this unsurprisingly became a retro shoujosei stack lolol

This stack includes both OOP (out of print) and still-in-circulation titles, but will be noted if they are OOP OR not. Digital only manga will have a note if they are so.
Manga spin-offs of already adapted series (ex. Creamy Mami and The Spoiled Princess, the various Madoka Magica spin-offs) are NOT included.

Collecting manga can be really hard on wallets and the average right-to-left reader. So whether or not you want some short reads or something for your collection that will be easy on your bank account, here is a selection of underappreciated short series to explore your horizons with!

This will contain mostly one and two volume stories, but maximum English volume length will be three to four volumes. Official and COMPLETE English physicals must be available, so this stack will not have partially translated manga like many of TokyoPop's releases, nor digital-only releases like THE COMIQ (please still read that one though!). Most of these should be standalone titles and should be readily available even on the secondhand market.

WORK IN PROGRESS: I will add descriptions later.

Disclaimer: I am a big fan of the fantasy genre and the shoujo demographic. I will try to put all series of all kinds of tags, demographics, and topics here, but it should be expected to see my bias. I apologize in advance.

This stack contains licensed titles that have been OUT OF PRINT and series that apply will be indicated as such. This means it is near impossible to find these new without destroying your wallet, but there is still a chance in the ever-growing secondhand market! To find these older, hard-to-find series, I recommend the following sites:
https://www.abebooks.com/
https://www.alibris.com/
https://www.biblio.com/

BookFinder is also a huge help with searching for listings with bargain prices! To get the best results, look up the ISBN for English prints of series and copy-paste them into the search.

Uber-kawaii Y2K girly pop manga you HAVE to read if you wanna feel like the I T G I R L...or if you just really like silly kiddie shojo from the 2000s like me. =)

A lot of sparkles, a lot of frills, a lot of bright colours, a lot of elementary-level girly goodness that you probably have come across if you were a wee manga reader from the mid-to-late 2000s--if that's what you're looking for, it's here.

A portion of these titles are more on the 子供向け (kodomo-muke) side--that is, they're aimed towards the younger sub-demographic within the greater shojo demographic, and that's evident by the simplistic or even downright goofy plots in contrast to the ornate, super-stylized nature of their art (TLDR; Empty brain like shiny pink thing with no substance--and that is nothing to be ashamed of,) but in general, they're all fun reads, no matter what age you are.

I made this list because I'm tired of people generalizing shoujo and saying it's all romance, so here are some shoujo manga from varius genres (horror, psychological, action, drama, etc.) that are violent and dark! Check the trigger warnings for some of these.
