Manga: Dear!
Both involves love between childhood friends but the plot is quite different so far. Expect love polygons and twist in the storyline. The settings are quite similar for both mangas as well ie. nearby beaches/sea. Beautiful artwork for both. :)

Manga: Kare wa Tomodachi
Both mangas involves child hood friends, past relationships with one another, past love lives, loving a childhood friend, meeting a farther person. Both mangas are sad and romantic and makes you want to cry. Plus, the protagonists are all cheerful and happy but deep inside, they're hurt and the only person could help them could be their first love and their friends. IF YOU LOVE ONE OF THESE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ THE OTHER AND YOU'LL END UP REMEMBERING THE STORY.

One of this compilation of romantic stories is Butterfly Clouds it's like Blue (CHIBA Kozue) a bunch of friends in a island trying to understand their overflowing feelings.
