Story: Mayoi Neko Overrun! is about a boy named Takumi who lived with his sister Otome. His sister just loves to help people, putting other's needs before her own. One day she finds Nozomi, an orphan out on the streets and takes her in. This is where the story starts out. Now Takumi has to run the bakery shop along with his childhood friend, which was also an orphan like him, Fumino. Then there is the rich girl Chise, who obviously has a crush on Takumi. The story/plot is really weak. There is no definite plot in this really short manga. However there is a ... lot of character reference, even appearance, from To-Love-Ru.

Art: The artwork is kind of nice. The characters are drawn rather nicely and there are some ecchi scenes. So if you are really into that, then this might work well for you. Beside that there really isn't much to read about, beside the fact there are many characters from To-Love-Ru that pops up.

Character: There is basically almost no character development, except maybe a little bit in Nozomi, but that would be it. Since it is really short, it gives the impression that the author thought of a story, but decided to stop in the middle and rush to a really quick ending.

Enjoyment: I thought it was alright, there were a few scenes that was kind of amusing, like how Nozomi constantly just says meow at critical moments, and how Chise has an obsession with breast size and is easily offended. But beside that there wasn't really much fun, or any well thought ideas putted into this manga. As stated before I felt like this was like a side project for the author, or he thought of a story line, but just couldn't bring himself to write anymore and just quit right there by making a sorry excuse for an ending. Sadly I would not recommend this manga, even though it is only 10 chapters. I suggest you sped your time somewhere else, but if you do want something similar to this like artwork wise, or scenario wise, I would suggest To-Love-Ru because it has more plot to it and can be seen that the author actually putted some thought into.

To begin this review, i just want to tell that this is my first review, so i think there will be some (or maybe a lot) mistakes..

I always read the manga after watch the anime, so maybe i will compare some details from the manga and anime..

Story : A slice-of-life manga with comedy and some ecchi element of a boy named Takumi, his not-related-by-blood sister Otome, a childhood tsundere Fumino, a cat-like girl Nozomi, and Loli ojou-sama Chise (with more character, of course..)

It's like any typical Harem-Ecchi manga, but with more "make sense" humor inside. If you already watch the anime, you will notice that ... the main story of the manga and the anime is same, but with different "flag", situation, and chronological order.

I forgot, some To-Love-Ru char make cameo appearance here..

Art : GREAT!! Really, Nozomi and Fumino seems so CUTE!! Well, the art in anime is good too, but in manga, it's BETTER! Trust me!

And some ecchi pict is available too! Fumino is really hot here! But this part is "erased" in anime.. huh..

Character :

Takumi : He looks more like any typical Harem-Ecchi protagonist with "balanced" brain ( i mean he is a perv, but he can hold it).. His personality is quite different than in anime.. In anime, his pervert is like only 10%, while in manga, his pervert is around 60%..

Nozomi : She looks more expressive, talkative, and have better humor than in anime..

Fumino : Not much difference than in anime.. But i think her words are more filled with feeling..

Chise : Still childish, but i think she is more matured in manga..

Kanae and Kaho also have more role in manga..

Enjoyment : Well, if you fell stressed because something hard in your life, i think this light comedy-ecchi manga will help you feel better with its simple plot..

tl;dr: A manga that has a solid though generic plot and characters, but solid humor and amazing art. 

This manga is a pretty generic, but a pretty lighthearted and amusing read. In terms of plot, there isn’t much of an overarching story, but is rather composed of a bunch of small episodes with self-contained plots, though some small plot threads do carry over now and then. These small episodes feels very well paced with stories that aren’t especially interesting, but are told pretty well, and that show off the characters well. The cast of characters isn’t particularly novel either, but they all feel pretty solid and likable so its enjoyable enough reading ... about them. There are two things that really make this manga stand out and be good though. The first is the comedy, which I felt was pretty good from beginning to end. The constant cameos were also very amusing. The second is the art, which is amazing, in that it’s high quality, has good variety, shows facial expressions really well, and is incredibly pleasing just to look at. An issue with this though, is that it got cancelled, by which I mean it didn’t get discontinued and then get the standard few chapters to wrap things up, but rather just stopped abruptly with the last chapter even saying “Look forward to the next chapter”. A lack of a proper ending is somewhat of a disappointment, but discontinued type endings are generally pretty bad or useless anyway, and this isn’t all that story oriented in the first place in that it's not like there were any major plot threads that were left hanging, so it’s not that much of an issue and not enough to diminish what is there, which hence is still pretty solid. 

So, when I first read this I didn't realize it was the sequel of an anime that was based on light novels. I went in totally blind. The story was kind of cool, it was cute and light hearted and I actually thought it was going to be more of a coming-of-age story than anything but it wasn't. Cut short at 10 chapters, it's a quick read with a neat plot. The art is good, and the characters a bit of depth to them. It was enjoyable, and the manga is cut short very abruptly. It's kind of disappointing to have it end that way. ... I liked the series, so I'm going to move on to the show or light novels. It's kind of a cool ad for the anime/prior manga.
