Have you ever promised to follow someone, no matter what, to the end of the world?

For some of us that are in love, letting go is not an option. The premise for this one-shot is the sudden dumping by his girlfriend of two-years. It was not only sudden, but midway watching a film together! Confused our protagonist relentlessly continues to peruse Mel, the now ex-girlfriend, in order to understand her thought process. I will not go into the details for the sake of an interesting (and unique) premise this manga offers, but I do get allegories for growing apart, whether that be for work ... or career. I would say the core theme of this would be the perception of our emotions and the surrounding people and places within them and how we deflect/dictate other's feelings because of own actions. Even self-pity to a degree.

One notable feature for this author's work I caught up quite quickly before the cover page was actually the effective use of the dialogue between the characters and it's integration with environmental storytelling. I also got Tatsuki Fujimoto vibes in this aspect (no, not because of the movie theatre. lol). During the first pages, the film mysteriously cuts out just before a kissing scene, obviously catering to the inherit disconnect between the couple. It next follows them leaving, with the dialogue, "It was pretty good [...] I'd even watch the rest", implying future events between the two as they make amends during the ending. Heck, even the panels of them "together" are broken. It might not seem like much to some readers, but I really appreciated it.

Originally, I just assumed she was perhaps living from the movie, or some sort of meta-isekai trope. However what I got was completely different and I am still satisfied with the manga. My only issue, if any, was the random changes in region, which seems off-putting considering the overall pacing.
