Completed Vol 6 Dreamweaver, 1034 chapters before writing review. Contains spoilers for LOTM.
Well there couldn't be better time to write this review as end of Dreamweaver. Coming from guy who wrote LOTM, I don't think I need to write more about COI. But there might be people out there who want end this journey on LOTM. Well well well, they couldn't be more wrong. Circle of inevitability or COI for short doesn't do anything to disgrace its own masterpiece predecessor.
Story(10/10) : Story starts 6 years after ending of first book, Klein goes into slumber releasing all transmigrators into the world. World is getting closer
...
to apocalypse and sequence advancement is getting faster. In such world, in rural province of Intis, while enjoying peaceful life protagonist Lumian Lee comes across supernatural phenomenon eventually solving and joining as Minor arcana of Tarot Clubs. Well story same as LOTM starts too much slow, but once pace is picked up and world is further explored story go on to rival its predecessor.
Main Cast(8/10) : Well If I have to compare Lumian as a better MC and Klein as MC, I would choose Lumian. Lumian starts of as prankster kid embodiment of pathway he has chosen, It was more fun to read him and his monologues. But here other characters which kind of can be considered as main cast gets sidetracked easily and comes out as one dimensional and sometimes downright useless.
Side cast(8/10) : The cast of characters original to COI is good but If you were waiting for more of Tarot Club you are going to be disappointed. Mostly use of Tarot club Members is to appear as a Cameo and give that occasional nostalgia factor.
Worldbuilding and setting(10/10) : well all of the countries and seas that were mentioned name only LOTM finally got their share of screentime. Well history of the world still remains at big but most of Fourth Epoch history gets covered.
Power system : New power systems introduced is as per need and well executed still exploring previous ones and not powercreeping those.
Amon and Adam (100/10) : Enough Amon And Adam screentime couldn't ask for more.
As conclusion, if you love world of LOTM just read it. Don't think as direct continuation of Klein's story, its direct continuation of World's (still not Klein ) story and it will be one of the best series out there.
