Named after Osamu Tezuka, the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize (手塚治虫文化賞, Tezuka Osamu Bunkashō) is a yearly manga prize awarded to manga artists or their works that follow the Osamu Tezuka manga approach founded and sponsored by Asahi Shimbun. The prize has been awarded since 1997, in Tokyo, Japan.

From 1997 to 2002, the series that received the second-most votes was awarded the Award for Excellence, the winners of which are also included in this stack.

Series where the main focus of the story is characters advancing civilization using their (otherworldly) knowledge, expanding an already existing kingdom or are in the process of (re)building one with military might or with their personal might/knowledge.

No. 82 is Jingi by Ayumi Tachihara, but it doesn't have the amount of volumes or release date it says in Young Champion Akita Shoten.

No. 83 is Direful Industrial Volleyboys is Hiroyuki Murada, which started in 1989 with 67 volumes & 711 chapters in Weekly Young Magazine Kodansha.

These are a few mangas that I believe everyone should read at least once in the entirety of their life

A few manga which contain some historical figures or are about a historical event/period.

Manga with tactical fights/strategic battles that are not determined by strength or numbers but how they use what they have available to them, using their knowledge/cunning to outsmart their opponent, exploiting weakness, planning beforehand or quick thinking in the heat of battle and using what's in their immediate surroundings to their advantage.

Not all included manga are at the same level when it comes to tactical fights/strategic battles and while the majority of fights are tactical and the battles strategic there are some that are not.
