Both mangas are plot focusedbut have a focus on cool fights against cool well designed body horror monsters, and a similarly cast of characters with strong and wacky personalities or qualities. Fans of Power and Kobeni will be happy with Lilisen, etc. The main characters also have a similar appeal, they're both simple minded idiots with a lot of powers and importance they didn't ask for, but still accept and throw themselves into the fray. Chainsaw man is set in a modern urban setting and has more of a focus on relationships and emotions, where Tower Dungeon is a  read more

If you loved Berserk for its bleak, unforgiving world, nightmarish monsters, and warriors battling against impossible odds, Tower Dungeon will feel like stepping into another layer of that same dark fantasy hell. Like Guts and his companions, the story follows a group of fighters struggling through a cursed, medieval realm surrounded by similar grotesque horrors that made Berserk’s creatures so unforgettable.

Dungeon Meshi is overall more upbeat with bouts of epic and bleak moments, where Tower Dungeon is more overall overall bleak and epic with bouts of lightheartedness and comedy. Both stories have a cast of endearingly wacky characters and parties, with a lot of banter, and both have worldbuilding as a big draw. Fights always have a lot of thought put into them and there's a sort of realistic approach to how it would be like going on dungeon dives and the ressource management involved. With its monsters, Tower Dungeon leans into body horror more while Dungeon Meshi presents an array of classic fantasy monsters  read more
