TS Medic's Battlefield Diary is a really good surprise.
This novel is about a combat medic (Touri) trying to survive during a a sort of world war 1. It's more about the horror of war than anything else.
The depiction of this horror is really well done, some scenes are really hard to read and it's just horrible to see what Touri is going through because it's so realistic.
This is not light-hearted at all, the happy moments will only bring more despair and this is why it's so good, because the psychology of our main character

is perfect because of that.
Honestly, we don't really care about the plot, what's good is the character writing and how they interact/support each other to not break. Almost every character will have an impact and will make you care for them, and some will even make you cry.
Characters are so good because each one have their own mentality and will leave a trace of them that Touri and you will never forget.
If you like dark stories which focus on character development, then this is for you. ( and idk why there is some fantasy in this novel when guns are way better but well, it's a selling point i guess )
